I love that Berkeley is my home. I raised my daughter from South Berkeley’s King Child Development preschool to her Berkeley High School graduation. I have seen Berkeley's immense transformation over the past several decades. I am acutely aware of the many issues our community faces. I am passionate about improving the quality of life in Berkeley through initiatives that advance public safety, affordable housing, equitable infrastructure, and sustainable climate solutions.
Translating ideas into results
I hear you. Berkeley's leadership is changing a lot. The next group of leaders needs to “hit the ground running” and lead this City to a vibrant future. I am that kind of person, and with me, the future is now!
My advocacy on South Berkeley Now! focuses on delivering Ashby BART Housing for low and middle-income individuals, promoting community investments, securing housing for artists, new direction at the historical Black Repertory Group Theatre, fostering a viable small
Business district, and advocating for traffic calming measures benefiting seniors, individuals with disabilities, children, and bikers. I am proud to be part of the development team for the transformative Black Panther Housing Project, which celebrated the housing opening with a Ribbon ribbon-cutting celebration on July 16th, 2024. The Black Panther Project project provides 100% low-income housing and small businesses owned by formerly incarcerated men and women.
Join me and the residents of South Berkeley in our shared mission to revitalize our community with love, hope, and progress. By donating your time or resources, you can help us citywide to create a future where everyone has access to housing, public safety is prioritized, and economic prosperity thrives. Together, let's build a vibrant and inclusive community that enriches the lives of all Berkeley residents.
"During moments of reflection and walking in our neighborhoods, I have listened to South Berkeley residents' concerns, aspirations, and joy. This has inspired me to continue this journey with unwavering determination, knowing that I am fighting for the issues that matter most to our community. Let's get to work!" Please make your contribution now.
